What types of materials do you use?

Sterling silver, copper, 14K gold (custom orders only), freshwater pearls, artisan glass, crystals, shells, natural materials. 

Do you ever duplicate an item?

Most items are one of a kind.  Occassionally I will have a series of an item that I will sell duplicates of, such as my bangles.  If you have a special request, please send me an email with your requirement and I will get back to you. 

Do you do custom orders?

Yes, if you have a request for a custom order, please email me with your requirements and I will get back to you as soon as possible with pricing.  Please note that all custom orders are non-refundable. 

How do you keep the metal from tarnishing?

I keep my items in plastic ziplock bags to keep the air out, which can cause the metal to tarnish quicker.  Metal will tarnish and you can use a jewelry cleaning cloth such as a Sunshine Cloth available at jewelry stores in your area or online.  You should avoid getting lotions, creams, hair spray, etc. away from your items as much as possible.  Some copper can leave a green tint on some people's skin....however I have heard that some people coat the wire that touches your skin with a light coat of clear nail polish although I do not know if that works and do not recommend that. 

Do you offer a guarantee?

Most jewelry will last a long time, but accidents do happen.  Because I use the best quality materials in my items I guarantee each item for 6 months after date of purchase with original receipt.  If your item breaks during this time, please try to gather up all parts and pieces of the item and put them in a ziplock bag, enclosed in a padded shipping envelope along with a copy of your receipt and labeled with your name, ship to address and phone number.  Please email me before shipping your item and I will email you with the ship to address and return authorization number.  I might not be able to duplicate every stone or bead on your item but will try to find items that are as close as possible.  You will have to pay for shipping your item to me, but I will pay for return shipping.  Please note that Kim Forrer Designs is not responsible for items lost or damaged in the mail.
